Green Goals 2030: Our Plan to Lead the Eco-Friendly Transformation of Athletic Training

Athletic training products are used once and thrown away, game after game, season after season. Flash-Aid exists to change that. We make biodegradable, plant-source versions of the supplies athletes already use every day, with the performance athletes and professionals expect. Sustainability here means specifics, dates, and honest status reports, not promises.

What Is Different Today

  • Flash-Bam® Athletic Tape: made from 100% bamboo fibers, backed by independent fiber testing, with a zinc-oxide-free, solvent-free adhesive, in plastic-free, recyclable packaging.
  • Flash-Wrap™ Cohesive Wrap: biodegradable cohesive wrap made from plant-source materials, with no adhesives and no latex.
  • Shipping materials: our orders now ship in 100% recyclable or compostable shipping materials. This was our first dated Green Goal, and we met it in 2026.

What Is Not Yet Sustainable

Our On The Go first aid kits contain conventional first-aid supplies. The zippered pouch is durable and reusable, but we do not call the kits an eco product. When we are not yet sustainable somewhere, we say so.

We are also completing verification of the specific composting conditions and timeframes for Flash-Bam and Flash-Wrap. We will publish them on this page when they are confirmed, rather than printing numbers we cannot yet stand behind.

We are constantly innovating to reduce our environmental footprint without compromising the quality or performance that athletes rely on.

Our 2030 Environmental Goals

  • Use 100% recyclable or compostable shipping materials by 2026. Status: achieved, 2026. All orders now ship in recyclable or compostable materials.
  • Cut non-biodegradable waste in half by 2030. Status: in progress.
  • Eliminate single-use plastics by 2030. Status: in progress. Flash-Bam packaging is already plastic-free.
  • Make 75% of our product line biodegradable or recyclable by 2030. Status: in progress. Flash-Bam and Flash-Wrap lead the line today.
  • Shift to 50% renewable energy across our supply chain by 2030. Status: in progress.
  • Move manufacturing closer to home by 2030. Status: in progress.

Why It Matters

Every roll of conventional tape and every plastic wrapper outlives the game it was used in by decades. Athletes should not have to trade performance for a better material choice, and with Flash-Aid they do not. That is the whole point: different by design, same performance.
